How do you even combine science and home design? I want to put these two together, but this is a question I’m still asking myself. So I decided to look at some experts for you to check out too!

News headlines seem to fly at us all the time, sometimes we can get dizzy with all the happenings of the world. Processing so much news is not easy! Especially news about science – there are so many fields of science with so much information. Here’s a place to start if science news is starting to make your head spin.

When I came up with the Victorian Naturalist theme for my office, I was already deep into project “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”, but in “If You Give Tamasen a Board” form. It snowballed from just throwing a desk and shelves on the wall to the very first room I have truly fully designed and put together!

For only a second, you spot a shadowy swishing of wings. Glimpsed in twilight moments, bats are dark ghosts flitting silently past, mysterious creatures full of secrets waiting to be discovered.

As a scientist, I discover the stories behind what I observe and finding solutions to the problems in our world. As a perfect complement to science, I like to use design to create beauty with a story. In ordinary life, good design is also functional - problem-solving in its own way.
