How do you even combine science and home design? I want to put these two together, but this is a question I’m still asking myself. So I decided to look at some experts for you to check out too!
News headlines seem to fly at us all the time, sometimes we can get dizzy with all the happenings of the world. Processing so much news is not easy! Especially news about science – there are so many fields of science with so much information. Here’s a place to start if science news is starting to make your head spin.
When I came up with the Victorian Naturalist theme for my office, I was already deep into project “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”, but in “If You Give Tamasen a Board” form. It snowballed from just throwing a desk and shelves on the wall to the very first room I have truly fully designed and put together!
I'm in a quiet side room off the main lab space. To my right is a window that fills most of the wall. There's trees outside with tops swaying in the wind, so it's like I'm in a tree house. To my left is a heavy black curtain to help preserve this clean area and block light from the window for the microscopes at the other end of the room. The walls are painted black for microscopy work, but the big window shines a spotlight around me in bright natural light.
